26 Dec Google Reduces Blue Light
Google recently released a new patch for its iOS and Android Play Books app which added a new feature called Night Light. Featured on Engadget.com, it was reported that research done by the tech giant showed most users of the popular e-reader typically spent their time reading between the hours of 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. With the latest update, they now have the option to turn Night Light on which will slowly adjust the display to become warmer. It doesn’t completely remove blue light, but it’s a great step in the right direction.
Since all electronic devices emit blue light which has been shown to disrupt your circadian rhythm, cause eye strain, and potentially lead to other health-related complications, GUNNAR Optiks is excited about Google’s new option. We have long supported anyone’s efforts to help save your eyes and while nothing is 100% fool-proof, coupled with a pair of GUNNAR glasses, you’re sure to truly feel the difference. Plus, you’ll be able to work harder, game longer, and sleep better!
