I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona.
Captaining my college (ASU) Heroes of the Storm team and winning Heroes of the Dorm, 2016. Also, captaining a rookie squad to our first international event at Dreamhack Sweden.
I had to be taken to the hospital by helicopter from a snowboarding resort because i tried to do a back flip and failed miserably.
My name is Michael Udall, and I stumbled my way into a career in esports. Growing up, I was taught to believe that video games were a waste of my time and potential. Because of this environment, I feared pursuing anything more than just casually playing them. Once in college, I competed in a collegiate tournament hosted by Blizzard called “Heroes of the Dorm.” This tournament allowed me to prove not only to my friends and family, but also more importantly to myself that video games and esports are not a waste of time. They’re not a waste of my potential and they’re actually a viable career.
In this career, I have an opportunity to influence people and to compete—two things I have always valued and enjoyed. What I love about this family called esports is the people I’ve met; the players, the fans, and my teammates. I want to do everything I can to give back to this growing community that has embraced me and given me so many opportunities.
