Exclusive Sponsorship Agreement Includes Six-Siege Roster, Brand Awareness Initiatives and a Platform to Educate Gamers On Eye Health

CARLSBAD, Calif. (March 15, 2021)GUNNAR Optiks, the preeminent force and No. 1 in gaming glasses, and New England-based esports organization, Oxygen Esports (“OXG”), today announced an exclusive partnership for GUNNAR to become the exclusive eyewear provider of Oxygen Esports.

GUNNAR, a pioneer in the industry, has led the way in performance enhancing, blue light gaming and computer glasses for more than 15 years. They hold a US Patent for its lens technology that is doctor recommended, helps improve focus, reduces dry eyes and other symptoms associated with digital eyestrain, while blocking harmful blue light emitted from digital screens.

“Our collaboration with Oxygen Esports made complete sense, particularly because of our licensing partnership with Ubisoft which includes the Six-Siege franchise, and the fact that Oxygen Esports have a world class roster; currently one of the top performing teams in the NAL,” commented Georgina Petrie, GUNNAR’s Director of Marketing. “Not only is Oxygen Esports on the rise as an emerging force on the world stage of competitive esports, but its management team and players share our beliefs about the importance of educating gamers of all ages, from all walks of life, about the importance of taking care of their vision as screen time increases across the globe.”

Oxygen Esports competes across some of the most-watched titles in esports, including: Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League, Fortnite, Hearthstone, and Valorant. Their newly announced Six-Siege roster will officially start their season on March 22nd in Las Vegas.

“We are thrilled to be working with the No. 1 gaming glasses brand in the industry and look forward to building a long-standing relationship with GUNNAR,” said Adam Morrison, General Manager & co-founder of Oxygen Esports. “As a management team, we understand the importance of a healthy visual system being an integral part of the overall health and well-being of our players. The number of hours spent practicing and competing each day in front of a screen can put strain on our players’ eyes. Wearing GUNNAR glasses helps our players take care of themselves physically, while enhancing their performance in game.

The mutually beneficial partnership will run until the end of the year and includes player wear testing, feedback on existing and new gaming glasses innovations from GUNNAR, ambassador content and product endorsements from key players, in addition to GUNNAR brand awareness initiatives.
