I ordered this set in June 2015 while working in an engineering / design company. I have prone to migraines when sitting in front of a screen for more than two hours or so. In the first week of wearing my Gunnars, I noticed less eyestrain, I was sitting more upright and farther back from my computer screen, and (best of all) was leaving the office at the end of the day with NO migraines! I’ve passed them around my friends and at the office. Some of my co-workers said they will be ordering a pair for themselves!

I’m still wearing my Gunnars while watching TV at home and while on my computer. Looking at getting a gaming style for the occasional LAN party or night out at the arcade.

These are incredibly light-weight and I’ve had a few say they look sexy on me 😉 I love my Gunnars and would recommend them to anyone that does extended computer work or long hours of gaming.

I have been wearing my prescription Gunnars for about three years every day day at work..They were recommended to me by my eye doctor because I work at a computer for 6-8 hours everyday. What a difference my Gunnars have made. No more headaches, no more eyestrain. and I get so many compliments on how good they look on me. They are so lightweight that I forget I am wearing them..Gunnars are well engineered and sturdy. I recommend them to anyone that works at a computer for extended periods.. Best glasses I have ever owned.

I do copywriting and graphic design by day, digital illustration by night and gaming on the weekends. Needless to say, I spend a lot of hours in front of a computer. Although I don’t need prescription lenses, my eyes were getting seriously fatigued before I bought the Gunnars. Now I refuse to look at a screen without them.

The amber tint is great for softening those harsh whites to a pleasant glow. Sometimes I have to jump back and forth between the Gunnars and the naked eye to manage colors while I’m designing, but that’s a minor inconvenience. The Emissary style is sleek and unassuming, which makes it ideal for when I’m on-camera for Twitch streams. After almost three months of use, I’ve even noticed a significant reduction in dark circles under my eyes.

All in all, the Gunnar Emissary glasses have greatly improved the quality of both work and play. I can’t recommend them enough.

Overall the glasses are brilliant. No qualms there.

My main issue was that one month after I had received the item I have then been given sent an invoice to pay duty and tax of £21.75 form the delivery company…

I paid £29 for delivery on top of the glasses so this was a very unwelcome surprise.

I would say to anyone who is looking to get glasses from this website who is not in the US to buy them from another supplier of the brand.

Gunnar can you please make sure to tell people about this prior to purchase and take them to a local supplier to avoid this happening again.

Emissary glasses work well for my eyes but are very small and thin. They must be for children because I don’t see how any grown man can wear these daily. The material is strong and stretches well but it still isn’t comfortable and the lens width is tiny. I love Gunnars and these are decent but I suggest buying a different pair.

Early in March 2017 my prescription changed. Needed to get multi-focal contacts. My eyes were not happy about them, harder to focus, very blurry all the time, etc so I switched to a new brand of normal contacts and picked up a pair of readers.

However my blurry vision didn’t stop. Assuming it was allergies, I dealt with it, still no change so back to the eye doc. He harumphed around a bit and admitted that the multi-focal contacts probably contributed to computer vision syndrome. I wasn’t happy.

Dealt with good days and bad for about 2 months and after much reading, picked up the Emissary’s (since I spend a good part of my day behind a computer).

Wore them about 3 days and my overall comfort, vision clarity, and etc have improved greatly – measurable enough that with no other changes made, I can say they were the reason for the improvement. Less eye strain, less dry eye. These Gunnar’s are a life saver. I’m actually able to spend my 8-9 hours behind a screen and improve my eye health.

    Thank you Gunnar!

Emissary glasses work well for my eyes and are very big and thick. They must be for adults because I don’t see how any child could wear these daily. The material is strong and stretches well and is super comfortable, plus the lens width is huge. I love Gunnars and these are decent, also I suggest buying every pair.
